Help with companion planting

I thought I had my box all laid out and went through my companion list one more time only to discover that I cannot plant my tomatoes next to my cucumbers and peas. I do not have another place to put them and don't want to sacrifice any of those plants. Can anyone tell me what the minimum amount of space I would need to keep the tomatoes away from these plants?

The bed is 2' x 14' with a trellis fence on the north side.

I was going to plant the following along the fence: from left to right
6 squares of vining tomatoes
4 squares of cucumbers
4 squares of peas

I could move the peas to another bed if I have to and move the cucumbers further away, but not sure how far they need to be away from the tomatoes.

Another website I found says that tomatoes and peas are compatible, so should I just flip-flop the peas and cucumbers?

I'd just switch the peas and cukes. And I think the idea would be to just not have them in adjacent squares, so shifting them down to the far end of the box should be plenty of distance between the tomatoes and cukes.

I'm working out companions now too, and it's amazing the conflicting information that is out there!

Here is a link of the top then vegtables for companion planting. It comes from the almanac.com web site. This is a list of friend and foe for planting your garden. Since this is my first year I have been using this as my guide. The old timers always depended on the almanac to i'm pretty sure its a good source.

I think if you put the pea/beans between the tomatoes and cucumbers you will be fine.
