Suburban Atlanta Newbie Here
I am a brand spanking new gardener and square foot gardener this year. I have a single 4x4 garden that houses 4 tomato squares, 2 eggplant, 1 cucumber, 1 basil, 1 zucchini, rosemary/thyme, 2 pepper.... I think I'm missing something or four....
My garden looks lush and is beginning to fruit here and there. I had a beautiful zucchini a month ago but the plant is fighting me and the rest of the squares around it. I'm here looking for tips on improving my bounty without a lot of work out in the blazing Georgia heat.

Welcome to the forum. I am in Brooks, GA. About 25 miles south of Atlanta. If you want to increase your bounty, try a fall garden. Last year (for the first time) I planted a fall garden consisting of Broccoli, Kholarbi, Spinach, Radishes, Carrots, Cauliflower, Scallions, and Lettuce in one 4 x 4. Some of the veggies matured before the first frost and some I had to continue to grow inside a plastic covered hoop house.

Hi Kapchis,
Welcome to the family.
Have you got any pictures of your ANSFG bed??
That zucchini is it near the edge of the bed or in the middle ?
If at a side or in a corner you can use canes to gradually direct the vine out the bed and across the ground outside the bed .
Or
Like me use some sheeting to block it off from the rest of the bed and then train it to grow out the side and over it onto some sort of platform as I have 36 inch high brick built raised beds .
Here is the plant before it comes over the edge of the bed . it is a bit bigger now so I will have to make the platform in a day or so's time .
