Congrats! My onions are taking forever to bulb up. It's perfect to just let them push up and sit 1/2 way in, 1/2 way out of the Mel's Mix. Very Happy

I was wondering the same thing. Also the leaves do not stand up. This is my first time growing onions. Should I be concerned.

somewhere i have a link showing how i grow onions--i let them pop up as much as they want then as they fill out i uncover them all the way to the roots. this allows them to cure on their own when the time is right. i'll try to find that link when i get back on my home computer.

I agree. I check them when I'm watering and run a finger around the bulb to push more soil away. I never did that before and had small onions. Now mine are getting reasonably large.
