Hi all
I haven't made my 4x4 foot bed yet. I am just getting to grips with all this. Plantoid has been a great help to me. I have just heard of Perlite, this I can buy in B & Q, Is this the same stuff as vermiculite?

What is the best way to make the grid?
Thanks for your help

Eeeeek ...... it's very very expensive in small bags from the likes of the big national chain shops and not nearly as good as vermiculite when making up your Mels Mix .

Check out the vermiculite register on site or better still go to a local big commercial builders merchants & ask for Vermiculite insulation chips in 100 litre bags .... costs around £ 15 plus vat , one 100 litre bag should be enough for nearly two beds .

Keyline builders or Travis & Perkins ( T&P builders merchants ) come to mind for I know they do sell it if asked .

Should the above be no use , if you have a non national chain garden centre close to you perhaps ask what they will sting you for with ordering a 100 litre bag of horticultural vermiculite (£30 ish )
