Hello from Calgary
Hi everyone,
I am just getting back into gardening. My husband made some great raised garden beds last year , so this is the first year for my new garden. I have planted potatoes, onions, radishes, carrots, beets, radishes and lettuce. So far; so good.

Are you having the wonderful warm weather there that we are having in BC?
How is your garden doing this year? been a little bit cooler here than last year.

Hi ,
Welcome to the site .
Are you going to square foot garden along the lines laid out by Mel Bartholomew ... if so do you have his 2005 edition book called " All New Square Foot Gardening " ?
I used to run with his original method on soil but the 2005 book kind of tore the rule book up for me in a strange kind of way.
I'm now running over 200 square feet of three foot high raised brick walled beds and will never ever return to humping mother natures heavy soil about again.
The crops that we have produced since I changed from soil to " MEL'S MIX " ( MM ) in June last year are far better than the old soil based ones I used to grow.
Let us all know how your doing , put up plenty of pictures and remember there are lots of folks on here willing to help you if you ask for nit.
