New use for last years pampas grass Empty New use for last years pampas grass

The end of last Autumn I had many cut stalks of mature pampas grass and planned to break them up for the compost heap. Didn't get around to composting them but discovered the stalks are easy enough to break into any custom size garden stakes. It looks very much like bamboo, quite sturdy, and a free renewable resource. No more purchased garden stakes for me, I like these a lot.
