I wish I had half your energy!

I don't have a circular saw but I do have a jig saw and a hack saw. I'll check to see if there is a masonry blade for either.
Thank you, Boffer!

You should be able to find a carbide grit jig saw blade that looks like this at a big box store. It cuts ceramic tile and brick; I think it will work for your purpose. And, it's safer, quieter, and less dusty. Use a little water as coolant if the blade starts getting really hot. Kudos for your can-do attitude!

Thanks, again, Boffer! I've always had to improvise so it just comes naturally to me now. When funds are low, you do what you can.
What's that old adage? "Necessity is the mother of invention!"

Been away for a while. Weather not cooperating. Either it is raining or the temps are in the 90s! If we don't have enough days without rain and hot, the soil will not dry and I cannot work the plot.
However, I have been busy in the meantime. I HAVE SHOPPED!!!! Twisted Evil
I bought my peat, vermiculite, mushroom compost that is not all mushroom, cow manure that is all cow manure, some hand tools, and plants.
The vermiculite is not the coarse kind and is in 8 qt bags, hope 3 will be enough.
Couldn't find pure mushroom compost, cannot find worm castings but have a ton of worms in the soil so will put them in my boxes. Hope that helps.
I've yet to pick up the lobster compost(Quoddy) on Tuesday.
Was coming back from the market on my scooter today and saw what looked like a shelf unit without a back on the sidewalk. Was sitting there looking at it wishing I had a way to get it home when an older gentleman(Older than I) came along and asked if I wanted it. Told him yes but had a transport problem. He then offered to carry it home for me! I nearly fainted!
Since the unit had one long side disconnected I grabbed that piece and he took the rest. Walked me all the way home, at least 4 blocks, and we talked all the way. He's a scavenger just like me!
I now have a 4 x 4, and the "shelf" unit is 67" x 22" x 9 3/4" deep. That unit is divided into 1/3 and 2/3. So I could easily plant 2 squash in the smaller part.
Plus my neighbor has/had 12 plastic pots lining his driveway fence. I saw him out there the other day and asked if he was using them. Said no and gave them to me! They are 12" diam x 11" high! Looks like my pole and bush beans have a new home. I will put them in a circle and insert 1 pole in each pot, and connect them all at the top.
I cannot believe my luck these last few days. Plus Wednesday is put out trash day for pick up on Thursday morning! Scavenging I will go again! OOOpppps! Make that Thursday put out for Friday pick up. Forgot The Fourth!
Phew! Enough for now. I'm sure I'm forgetting somethings but will come back to morrow after I go scream at the manager of the Stop & Shop for over charging me about $20.00 today, and getting my liver sonogrammed!
