Air conditioner condensation

Air conditioner condensation
This is my first year with my SFG. It is against the front of my house and there is a window above it. If I put a room air conditioner in that window will the condensation be either harmful or beneficial to the plants in that area?

I reuse the water from the dehumidifier and AC. Never had a problem with it, but I don't really know the answer to your question.

Condensate from an a/c unit is harmless. Condensate from a condensing type boiler, furnace, or water heater is very acidic.

I am my gardens worst enemy.

Thanks for both of those answers. I thought it would be harmless, but I wasn't sure. I don't intend to collect the water, just let it drip into the garden, so that area will be well watered.

Best, most lush window box I ever had was under the window a/c unit. Huge geraniums that bloomed and bloomed and bloomed.

Great idea! I have a 1/2 barrel filled with flowers and cilantro that is close to the window where our air conditioner is to go. Once I see exactly where it drips, I will slide the barrel under it!
We use the condensation water from our dehumidifier for our house plants - and Hubby used it on my tomato seedlings while I was in Panama. Works great!
