Snowberry Clearwing Hummingbird Moth
I found this moth on my hydrangea this evening. It sat there for quite a while to allow me to get my camera and snap a shot. All of the searches that I did to identify this fella makes be believe that it is a Snowberry Clearwing Hummingbird Moth and great to help with pollination. Most of the pictures that I found online are taken while the moth is hovering, so I feel fortunate to have captured this still shot. You never know what you will find in your garden. I need to take my camera out in the mornings and capture my frog friends

Very cool! That's a gorgeous hydrangea, too.

A Treat
It is a real treat to go out in the morning and just sit next to the garden and watch. I see all kinds of stuff, truly amazing.
Even though I garden right in the city one would have no problem seeing hundreds of different creatures coming by. Different kinds of birds, beetles, wasps, bees, bumble bees, worms, etc.

I agree Charles! I'm truly enjoying watching the critters around my garden. Right now I'm watching a bee pollinate my pumpkins.
