White stuff in soil
I've noticed what's looked like white mold or fungus in the soil when I rip out plants. Is this common? Should I be worried?

Re: White stuff in soil
Can you post a picture? White fungus will show up as part of the composting process - so it could be just from plant material decomposing in your garden.
Here's a quote from a Klickitat County page on compost:
"Look for a white fungus to appear in your compost pile as it begins to cool down near the end of the compost cycle. The white fungi break up the complex lignin molecules making the carbon in the material available for the next batch of compost."
