I won!
My frost date is 4/15, but with the unseasonably warm (actually HOT) weather in March, I figured what the heck. I have plenty of seeds, so if they don't sprout or get frozen, I'll just replant in April.
On March 15 I planted 20 squares of Roma bush beans, 12 squares of corn, 2 squash and about 15 of my tomato plants from seed that were really getting too big.
We had 3-4 days of temps down in the 30s, but I was able to cover everything and only had a bit of frost damage to the outer edge of 5 squares of beans (which have recovered nicely).
Last night we had yellow squash and green beans for supper and canned 4 pints of beans. The corn is just beginning to tassle & tomatoes are getting big, but nowhere near ripening, but I am pleased as punch.
That's one reason I LOVE SFG!
I hope everyone else's gardens are doing well too.

Re: I won!
Wowzers, that's awesome! I am a little jealous right now, I planted a experimental square of bush beans a week and a half ago and still nothing... It has been really nice here too, just not quite nice enough at night yet.

Congrats! I love it when you can eat a meal out of the garden and are able to preserve some veggies for later! Three cheers for Dixie's garden!
