Re: from Greer South Carolina
have done a small amount of sq ft but not enough to be qualified. But I am getting too old to hit the knees so I am looking into it more seriously now.
I am returning to SC in 2 weeks and plan to hit the ground running as long as health allows. Been away from home for 6 months. family emergency in AZ.
Arizona is not my idea of living(phoenix) Like living in sand, rocks and on corn flakes. I need green! I am praying my hubby kept the weeds down and have to clean the chicken coop.
if I can find my way around this site I will be back on.
having a little bit of trouble navigating it. But, I will try.

Re: from Greer South Carolina
Glad to have you with us. You indicated you have done a bit of square foot gardening. Have you read THE ALL NEW SQUAREFOOT GARDENING book? It is the how to manual for folks on this forum and sooo much improved from the older method. Mel outdid himself when he rewrote the book.
You are not alone with the knees. So many of us have the same complaint. That's why tabletop gardens are so popular. Here is a thread that show some plans for them and there are many, many different ones on the forum.

And we also love progress pictures. Looking forward to seeing your garden.
