Any Succulent plant lovers here?
Last year I got so majorly hooked on Lithops which look like little stone plants. They are unique and fascinating. I bet a small part of a SFG box could house some of these little beauties, yes? I wonder if anyone here has fallen in love with these cool little guys as I have!
My next excursion into the world of succulents is I am hoping to buy some "Opuntia Paddles" which are the big flat cactus leaves. They are fast growing and edible; really tasty too! So we'll see where this leads!

Re: Any Succulent plant lovers here?
Yep, succulents are fascinating plants. Most of them originated in soils without much compost, so perhaps would not do so well in Mel's Mix. I'm growing a Burbank spineless prickley pear cactus, lugged home from Sonoma Valley last year. It's growing in a mix of half-and-half Mel's mix and sand and looks like it may be trying to flower (fingers crossed). Also in the greenhouse is a distant relative from the high desert area of Idaho that I've had for years--covered in wicked spines, but toughest cactus I've ever seen, even survived freezing temps one year.
