Hi everybody, just wanted to post a quick introduction! Other than a few low-maintenance shrubs and some annuals, I've never really gardened before. Well, last year I did a great job of killing a tomato plant, so there's that. Laughing We just built two 2x8 foot beds along the back of our house and picked (what I hope will be!) some easy things to grow. At the very least, it should be a fun project to teach my kids where food comes from.

Looking forward to participating in the forums and learning from those who know what they're doing!

Welcome! I love 2 by 8 beds. That's what most of mine are. Great for maximizing the trellis space!

Welcome! I am a first-time gardener (SFG or otherwise) too and so far have managed to kill several, several onion seedlings (two different plantings) and five broccoli seedlings! I learned a lot though! Smile This site has been beyond invaluable - lots of knowledge provided by lots of nice folks.

Welcome to the forum cjoy. The important thing is to get started. Plant some seedlings and watch them grow. Ask questions here if you have them. Post pics here because we love seeing pictures. Good luck with your new adventure.

Hey cjoy!

Glad you joined and I still consider myself a newbie since this is my first full season. As camp say get the book and once you learn the SFGing method gardenning is much easier on many levels.

Everyone on the forum has something to bring to the table and hopefully someday you will be helping others.

Already have it! I actually bought it late in the season last year and spent the winter planning and dreaming. And kicking myself that I didn't buy it earlier. Smile
