i have been sq. ft. gardening for about 10 years now,but did not own a computer till about a month ago.
i am teaching my self to use it by hit and miss,so for give me if i am in the wrong place on here.
i could have a large garden,but my soil is mostly clay and gravel kinda like the gravel rd. i live on.
i find this forum very interesting & i like to see and read how others do it.

Hi, Larry and welcome to the forum. You can have as large a garden as you can get on your property right on top of your clay and gravel.
Here in SFG World, we make our own dirt, put it in raised beds right on top of whatever soil we were blessed/cursed with.
Strongly suggest you get a copy of Mel Bartholomew's book, All New Square Foot Gardening. It's available in bookstores, the Big Box Stores, on the SFG Foundation site and on Amazon.com. The book lays everything out for you, start to finish, and you can ask all the specific questions you want right here on the forum.
