Hello all,

I am looking for anyone in Ga that grew pumpkins. I am looking for info on any problems you had with bugs and or Mels Mix. I ran into an issue when i planted OKRA for a friend of mine and read later that they should not be planted in manure. We will see.

Also, i am thinking about gathering sea weed the next time i am in Fl or in Savannah to liquify and use as fertilizer. Has anyone tried this?

I'm not in GA. but just have to ask, did you plant the OKRA in straight manure? My okra did fine last yr in MM, which had some composted manure as part of the mix. It was almost 10 ft. tall!

Hi Jo

No i used the MM as i did for everything else. So i guess i will see what happens. Miami boys do not farm. I grew up fishing and getting in trouble all over Miami. I am older now and in Ga trying to fit in and cut down food costs. I know there will be a learning curve.

Well 10 ft Okra! Here is another number. I will wait and see where mine comes in. Any where between 3 1/3 foot to ?? LOL

Thanks
