Do a Craigslist search in your area. I see a lot of free/cheap compost and manure up your way.

Welcome Lenster,

Check with your local Agway store. If they don't have it they can get it. I ordered MM from my local store and they got it from the syracuse store. I paid $12.49 a bag 2 cu.ft. for MM all mixed. So far everything is growing great in it. If I can help you in any way let me know.

Hi Lenster,

You might be able to contact some of the farms up that way have composted manure - lots of farms over the border in PA Smile I know a lot of people up there raise chickens, too, and I believe there is an alpaca/llama farm in Snake Creek (google it and you'll find the contact info). All great places to find different kinds of compost Smile

I grew up in Montrose. My parents still live there so I go back home as often as I can. One day, I hope to move back as I miss it so very much!
