I was wondering if anyone knows of a good supply for the 5 types of compost in the broome county/tioga area of upstate,ny

Scroll up this page until you reach the green line that reads HOME - WEBSITE etc.
Click on HOME and scroll down until you reach COMPOST, it is the sixth line down.
There you will find so much information. Come back to us with questions.

Do a Craigslist search in your area. I see a lot of free/cheap compost and manure up your way.

Welcome Lenster,
Check with your local Agway store. If they don't have it they can get it. I ordered MM from my local store and they got it from the syracuse store. I paid $12.49 a bag 2 cu.ft. for MM all mixed. So far everything is growing great in it. If I can help you in any way let me know.

Hi Lenster,
You might be able to contact some of the farms up that way have composted manure - lots of farms over the border in PA I know a lot of people up there raise chickens, too, and I believe there is an alpaca/llama farm in Snake Creek (google it and you'll find the contact info). All great places to find different kinds of compost
I grew up in Montrose. My parents still live there so I go back home as often as I can. One day, I hope to move back as I miss it so very much!
