Other countries. I would like to see if I can raise seeds from various parts of the world. So far I have 1 packet of seeds sent to me from a woman in Australia. It is a flower specific to her part of the world.
Are there any others out there who would be willing to send me a packet of seeds, maybe a flower specific to your part of the world?
I'd like to devote one 4 x 4 box to just these seeds.

Hopefully some of the others on the forum can help. I am not sure if there are regulations about sending/receiving seeds from out of country or not??? But it's a cool idea.

There are some regulations and actually I think Australia is one of them with restrictions, as are most middle eastern countries if I'm not mistaken. I know there are some plants that are also considered evasive, noxious, and pests here and that should be a concern not only for here, but going to other countries as well.

These are for "plants" but it might be a starting point.

For whatever ehow is worth:

I'm talking about packaged seeds like you buy at Walmart. Not seeds from your garden. I can understand that restriction.

Do be careful about that. I don't know if you've ever visited the South, but think about what kudzu did...it was originally imported as what they thought was a great plant to hold soil in place on a steep hill, but it turned out to be perennial in the South and is now on the Noxious Weeds list. I know lots of people that have to battle the plant every year during the growing season...it grows at least a foot a day!
