I'm in Mid-Michigan and found a source for plastic barrels on Craig's List. I was thrilled to find someone who had barrels with a brass spigot, filter in the top, and drilled for an overflow. The guy was SO helpful he even delivered my barrels when I couldn't fit them both in my car!! I got two barrels (I had one painted) for under $100! If you need a rain barrel check them out on Facebook at Wahls Rain Barrels. (I have no affiliation with them except to be a very happy customer.)
