I have been explaining how my beds a laid out but it's confusing to describe so I took some pictures (of everything) and thought I would show everybody.

This is the view from the top deck and that's the plant inn!

2 of 3 of the helpers, the girl (River) really loves to help!

The inside of the plant inn (I fried some of them a couple days ago, sigh). There are 2 lettuces up , some kohlrabi, a few radish sprouts, spinach sprouts, basil, and a cucumber alibi (space saver, we'll see). Waiting on some beans, beets, carrots, and green onions.

Some of the baby chips (that's what River calls seedlings) There are some marigolds, cukes, squash, foxglove, and hot and bell peppers.

Some more baby chips, mostly squash and cukes, the seed starting tray has one lonely tomato up and waiting for some more maters and hot peppers (a bird got into this one and I am pretty sure got a few seeds).

This one is the blueberry bush I just got yesterday and some more flowers, nasturtium, geraniums, marigolds, blanket flower, and balloon flower!

This is the view of the lower beds from the top deck, we built these before I found out about SFG but I can make it work. I am going to fill the middle part that I can't reach with flowers that won't need much tending to.

This is some "scrap" lumber we picked up from a friends construction site! We are going to make some boxes and benches with it!

This is the raised pyramid! This is the new one we just built (by we I mean mostly hubby)!

It is mostly planted now!

These are my sad little bareroot quinalt strawberries, does anybody know how long it takes for them to perk up?

Mom look what I found! I wonder if my flowers will ever stand a chance against her...

Well there you have it, that's my set up so far. I will be adding a few cattle panel trellis too but I'm not that far yet, I've got a while before that stuff can go outside anyways. Hope you enjoyed!

Enjoyed the pictures very much!
My experience with strawberry starts - mine were just like yours. They were planted April 2nd. In about 2 weeks they nearly tripled in size and turned a lovely dark shade of green.

First of all cheyannarach you have some adorably cute kids.

Your beds look awesome. I love the pyramid. Thanks for all the photos.

Good luck with the plans.

I'll take all the luck I can get Quiltbea, I have had gardens for years (mostly flowers) I've done tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, strawberries, onions, and cabbage. This is really the first year that I have actually been bitten by the bug! I have been learning so much more and made so many changes that I know this is going to be the most successful year by FAR! Rather than buying all my seedlings and just throwing them in the ground to see what happened I am going to understand what happens. So very excited!

To add to the excitement my parsley sprouted today and I was reading the other day that it was a difficult one to start from seed, still not sure if that's true but it made my day!Very Happy

cheers for the parsley! It's so exciting to see little sprouts in the garden! IMHO, this is the best bug to be bitten by.

Agreed Michelle! Best bug, got the fever! So is parsley hard to start from seed? Still curious about that!
