Just finished my first SFG
Just finished my first SFG! Yes, it was dark out – but the first one is done!!!
I already have two 8x4 beds I built before I read SFG. They are double dug (What a ton of work!!) so I'll probably plant potatoes and carrots in those beds, along with some other crops this year.
The plan is to build another 5 or 6 beds, but not sure how many will actually be built this year. I think I have enough material to build 5 more 4x4 and one 2x4. -- Though I might be overdoing it for my first year

Re: Just finished my first SFG
I built 8 my first year. Not all in one day though. Wasn't this easier than double digging?

Looks great! Sounds like our weather is going to warm up nicely for next week.

Waaay less digging. Just had to pull up the sod to level the area!

Awesome! Was worried with that rain early this morning, but everything did just fine!

Looks beautiful. Now to get something growing in there, and you'll be in business!
