I just checked to see if we have many Canadiens on the site. I'm delighted to see you all here Welcome Canadiens! 396615 ! I live on the "North Coast" of USA and am just 50 miles south of Canada. As the Regional Host of the Northern and Central Midwest Regional Forum, I am always looking for SFGers who may be in "my" region. It's a B I G region!

According to our National Gardening Association the Eastern most Canadien city is Toronto; the Western boundry is west of Winnipeg! It stretches north as far as you can garden and south all the way to Oklahoma in the west and Southern Ohio in the east.

Did I mention that it is a B I G region? We go from Hardiness Zones 3 to 6 American. These zones take in so much more than just the boundaries of the Northern and Central Midwest. They seem to be everywhere.

So I am here to invite any and all of you who may fit into any of the boundaries (locales or zones) described here to visit the Northern and Central Midwest Regional Forum in addition to the other forums. In this forum you my find valuable information. We would be happy to have you stick around too, if you like! Hey, and if you don't fit into these locales/zones/climates YOU ARE WELCOME TOO.

I hope to see you there. Introduce yourself if you like and we will jump with joy at your presence Welcome Canadiens! 832433 .

Sunshine to you. Welcome Canadiens! Icon_sunny

You've noticed that Canadians are far from being chatty for some reason. I don't know why. But hi from New Brunswick, Canada!

Hi Ayane! I want to visit New Brunswick one of these days. Almost made it a few years ago by car but the weather turned cold and we detoured. Warm weather wimps that we are. Welcome Canadiens! Icon_smile

I know plenty of chatty Canadiens. Just ask them about hockey! We visited Quebec City (by plane) last year for the Winter Carneval and the International Youth Hockey Tournament. Had a wonderful time.

I like to chat. Many other Canadian gardeners I know also like to talk a lot about gardening. It is cooler here, so I am thinking the Canadian chatter will start up really soon!

I'm pretty chatty Wink and I'm Canadian living in Loyalist Country, Ontario (Belleville region). We're not too far from the Kingston/Ganonoque border crossing into the US.

Another chatty Canadian here!! Just north of Toronto in a town called Aurora. Zone 5a. Just started my first ever SFG this year. I'm so excited to watch everything grow!

Here's what I am growing in my 3x4 SFG:

Broccoli x2
Carrots
Leaf lettuce
Mini Butterhead lettuce
Spinach
Onions x2
Leeks
Eggplant
Sugar Pumpkins
Bush Beans

I'm also planting tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and strawberries in Topsy Turvys.

I am totally hooked! I'm already planning for next year.

Welcome Canadiens! Lol

Welcome Canadiens! Empty Canadiens or canadians?

Post  jille 5/4/2010, 3:54 pm

Hi
I'm just planted my first square foot garden and I wanted to check out the Canadian contingency. I almost did not read this topic because it was for Canadiens! Since I am from near Toronto I did not think it would apply but I have seen the error of my assumption!

Hi to all Canadians and Canadiens!
