I potted my Confederate Rose last February in perlite and nursed it to the root stage and finally got it planted. It grew like gangbusters all summer. Then along game winter and I thought they went dormant and then I thought they were dead. This spring I began to cut them down and start again. It was then I saw this:

Confederate Rose Bush Confed10

It's not much, but it's there!

I know, I know. . . this has nothing to do with vegetables, or SFG, or MM, or anything else on the forum.
I was just proud and wanted to share it! (If you don't know the story of how it got it's name, check out the legend of the Confederate Rose.)

Is this one you started from a cutting? My granddad used to make rose starts using ball jars as cloches with much success. I'm considered trying it but don't know exactly what to do.
