Fungus taking over? Empty Fungus taking over?

Post  brando calrissian 4/3/2012, 6:31 pm

Hi all,

This is my first post to the forum and I've scoured it and Google
searching for what 2 types of fungus are beginning to grow rampant in my 4x8
cinder block SFG. This is me and my wife's first try at SFG, but I've had several
years of in ground gardening experience before and have never seen
anything like it here in Southeast Texas. If anyone can help by viewing
the pictures, please let me know! This forum has been a great resource
for us so far, we're so glad we've found it!

That is pretty cool. I would suggest, if you have a university nearby that there may be someone on staff that could help you. The other suggestion is try your local county Agricultural Coop Extension Service.

Welcome Brando and glad to have you join us.

I agree with Camprn, contact your local extension service.

Look under your state university name, extension service on the internet. Most Extension Services have trained Master Gardeners who can identify fungi, plants and insects for you.

Great idea., and thank you both for the suggestion. I do have an extension agency in my area that's not too far away. In the meantime, I hope this stuff is not lethal to my plants!
