How Old Are Our Gardeners?
Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?
Okay ... I'm 40 something ... haha ... let me think ... 1967 to 2011 ... birthday is in August ... that makes me ... 44 (this year)? LOL Not something I think about too much, as you can tell!
DH is 50 but really isn't into the whole "gardening" thing. I'm so lucky he loves me as much as he does though because he just loves making me happy!
Gardening, Chickens, Compost and soon rabbits and goats.
And every bit of it started this year!

Yep. Hit the big 40 in January. Since we have a 3 1/2 year old, though I don't "feel" 40. Truthfully, I am about 8 years old mentally.

Obviously quite a new gardener, or at least at being in charge of the garden. This is my first time trying square foot gardening and I have learned so much in the past few months.

Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?

Glad to meet another SFG who is in the 0-20 age group! And who plays the banjo!
Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?
I'm also glad to meet someone in the 0-20 range. Yeah, I do a little bit of clawhammer banjo and mess around on some other instruments too occasionally. Do you play anything?

Where've ya been all my life?

Do you follow the original SFG book or did you convert when Mel came out with the All New SFG in 2006?

Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?
Hi Packer! Another SFGer from Illinois!

I've taken guitar lessons for a couple of years now, I play electric and acoustic, I play a little banjo, violin, keyboard and I just picked me up a ukulele last week. I've been SFGing for around 5 years now, if you need any help just let me know!

Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?
I also play the violin and do some strumming on the guitar and ukulele and although I own a keyboard, I haven't spent much time learning to play it very well. I'm not great at playing any of them really, but I like to sing along to simple chords and stuff.
I saw your youtube link at the bottom of your posts. You're good

Hmm, maybe I'm wrong? Would it not let you vote without making a post airdoc?

Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?
Maybe it will, but I'm not bright enough to find how to do it. I hovered my mouse over all the areas of the poll/graph, thinking that a link might apear, allowing me to click on the appropriate spot and register a vote, but that didn't work. I didn't see any button to click on that said "vote." I didn't know what else to look for.

Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?
Ok, I have confirmed you do not have to post a reply to vote. Just to the right of your appropriate age group, make your selection, then towards the bottom of the poll area hit submit.

Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?
I voted the 1st day I joined...the day before my birthday, so I voted my "new" age. Was able to vote anonymously, too, not that I care if anyone knows how old I am.

I couldn't vote, either.
My cursor turned into an arrow (instead of the normal carrot), and I was unable to select an age. Perhaps it is a browser issue.
In any case, I am 35, which I guess means that I can be president.

Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?
I will be 83 this coming Wednesday; born April 18, 1929. Been doing SFG for the past few years and enjoying it greatly. This year, however, I'm taking a sabbatical. I'm planning to spend a lot of time this summer camping, fishing, swimming, and just being lazy, mostly at Elephant Butte Lake State Park. If that gets too boring I might think about planting a few things for fall harvest.
