Hello All - I finally have some time to put together a light fixture and get some seeds started, and I was just wondering about the specific type of light to get (I read the grow bulb thread but I'm still a bit uncertain).

Specifically I'm wondering about the color temperature of the light...my first thought was to buy THESE because the color is "sunshine" and it says it has a full spectrum of light. But then I saw THESE ("daylight"), which have a color temperature of 6500K (the "sunshine" are only 5000k), and I remembered someone saying in the other thread that you should shoot for 6000k. So could anyone point me toward one or the other? Does it even matter? Thanks for any info!

I have the 'daylight' bulbs in my track lights and they do just fine. You're just starting your seeds and they only need it for a few weeks, not 365 days a year like orchids.

Before you know it, they'll be like these above and soon ready for the outdoors.
