Ooooh, an automatic venting thingy. I like that! How many folks in the North East are planning on using a cold frame or a hot bed? I am planning on a cold frame.

I built my A-frame in 2010 and my coldframe last spring so I intend to use both.

Above: My coldframe has plastic over a wooden frame for its top. When I find an old window, I'll replace it or maybe even dig deep in my pocket for some plexi-glas this spring. I was hoping to keep it frugal but when it rains, the plastic stretches and I have to empty the water. Nonetheless, its better than nothing at all. I had lettuce and greens all last season.

Super simple cold frame. Just add another box and a cover, then plant that lettuce! I am going to do this. I just picked up some old double hung windows that were bound for the dump.

Yes but it didn't load before I posted that last reply. I thought this was your raised bed / cold frame.
