I like Ed, have never really liked his seed company. Yesterday, while searching for the impossible to find (in Everett) Pea inoculant (if I'm going to make a video of how to make it stick to seed, I should probably have fresh stuff), I had a look at his seed rack in the Everett Fred Meyer. So there I was, searching for the package that he always has near the peas, but I keep seeing things I use, cippoline onions, lots of packages marked "organic" (even the packaging looks a little more earth friendly). To my shock, I found purple sprouting broccoli for $1.69! Got me some!

Ed used to be on a list of companies that bought Monsanto seeds. His seed rack, big as it was, was the picture of not much variety. Not so much now. I'm almost afraid to go check the list of companies who do not sell Monsanto. I have some hope.... and purple sprouting broccoli.

Don't know much about Ed Hume seeds, passed on the website, just didn't suit me.

As far as the innoculant, got mine at Lowes, they carry Burpee seed. It has the bacteria for peas, lima beans, peanuts, soy, dry beans and lentils. It lists the different bacteria on the package. Look for the Burpee seed rack in the stores in your area. I put the innoculant in a zippy bag, and just put the seed in and it just sticks?
