Either SFG or raised beds will be used.

Haven't done this before, and didn't find much info w/it. Main reasons to use it is to maximize a limited gardening area. This isn't companion gardening, don't plan on using that method.

Also to extend harvest, growing cool weather stuff in summer.

Here are ideas I have, but don't know if most will work.

Corn w/melons and/or squash (NOT 3 sisters)

Beans w/leafy green stuff (to shade)

Tall fruiting crops (toms, peppers, eggplant) w/root veggies. I thought of this since the 2 need potassium and phosphorus.

However, would this cause competition for food/nutrients.

Location : Boyne City Michigan (gardening zone 5; short growing season....mild and cool climate...hot summers, but much milder than summers in tropical gardening zones)

Feistywidget, have you bothered to read the book at all? You ask the same question over and over with slightly different wording. I don't know how you couldn't find much info on it as it's basically what the entire book and this forum is about. This topic is closed.
