PLEASE WELCOME YOUR NEW ADMIN
To my beloved forum members:
I want everyone on the forum to know how much I have appreciated the time I have been admin here. I love the forum and all I have learned here as well as the friends I have made.
The last few months I have been more than absent and have neglected you all here. Thank you for putting up with being put on the back burner.
With me going back to school full time I had figured I would be on the computer all the time so would be here more often and it just didn't work that way!
The truth be told I never really was the admin, I always needed help and couldn't have done it without boffer's help. He was my wizard behind the curtain.
I decided it was time to step down and let someone full of energy and excitement for the forum take over. We began the search for my replacement and have the most exciting announcement to make!

I think you all have come to love and enjoy the company of nKedrOoStErand I am sure you will enjoy his new reign on the forum even more. I know I have enjoyed reading his posts and his great sense of humor immensely. He has more time and some experience with forums that will make him a much better admin than I have been able to be. I look forward to great things form him!
Without any further ado, please welcome your admin!!!

Well, there goes the neighborhood.....
Congrats NR! can we just call you NR? I can't type that username, my pinkies and thumbs get mixed up..
MM - let me say thank you for all that you have done for this forum, my uneducated guess is that the forum has grown tremendously under your leadership. Please stay involved, as you are great resource for everyone!

Oh, my !!! I'm afraid, I'm very afraid! Ha ha!!! Well, this should be interesting, to say the least! Welcome, nKedrOoStEr, and all kidding aside, thanks for being willing to take on this huge responsibility. You have probably noticed, we forum members can be a bit unruly sometimes. Middlemamma has had to very diplomatically straighten us out many times and you will probably have your share of that, too.
Middlemamma, thank you for being there for us (and you were, no matter what you say). I hope you won't be a stranger and will be able to check in with us occasionally. I do wish you the best with your education and everything else you endeavor to do in life. Your reign will be remembered fondly by us all!

MM, you will be missed as Admin, but education and family needs must come first. (not neccessarily in that order )
Rooster and as our new Administrator. Have fun with this great group of people.

Re: PLEASE WELCOME YOUR NEW ADMIN
Thanks middlemamma! Thanks for everything
I know I have some big shoes to fill around here, and I will do my best to not disappoint anyone. Especially mm and boffer.
They are both truly great people, who really stand by and promote, the Square Foot Gardening "fundamentals". It has been one of the key focuses of this site since it began, and I will not be one to change or interfere with that in any way. It's key that that tradition continues, and there are some mighty fine people here to carry it on and make sure that happens.
I look forward to gardening, hangin out, sharing photos, recipes, and just getting to know more of the great members here better in the coming year.
Middlemamma, thanks for the great opportunity! I really hope your schedule allows for you to be here as much as possible in the coming future.
Boffer, thank you too for all that you have shown me and the hand holding
Let's all have a great 2012!!

Lose a girlfriend, pick up a bar buddy. Kind of a lateral move, but I takes what I can gets. (Minds out of the gutter)
Enjoy the paycheck. Bonuses are lucrative, too. Let's rock this thing in the spring. And, MM, you better not disappear. You are still as valuable as any single member here.

Re: PLEASE WELCOME YOUR NEW ADMIN
Thank you, middlemamma. Now you can sit back and put your feet up along with me, and we'll watch NR work his butt off!
Congratulations, nKedrOoStEr. It's bad enough that your head is swimming with all the new stuff you're learning, but now you have to worry about what your initiation is going to be!

I believed part of that initiation is being "Gilhoolied" by that contraption....

But remember, we have to leave him sufficiently intact to do his job...barely!
Re: PLEASE WELCOME YOUR NEW ADMIN
When I see that forum moniker, I think 'Rooster' first and foremost. Roosters are leaders of their flock and that sets the tone with this new administration, I think.
I hope you don't mind if I call you Rooster in future. Welcome aboard.
Middlemamma, you did good. You may have had time constrictions, but somehow you fit us into your busy life and did a good job. Thank you for your leadership.
Boffer, I can never thank him enough because he always comes thru with the answers to techy probs for me, an A #1 techno-jerk. Thank you Boffer.
I'm looking forward to another great year on SFG. Thank you all from the cold north!

Boffer, that is a good point. In the meantime, nKedrOoStEr, just remember, if you had wished to be treated with dignity, respect and kid gloves, you should have named yourself something sensible. Like Mr. nKedrOoStEr!

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

I also would like to give an official SFG foundation welcome to Rooster (I like that name, what can I say) You are filling some big shoes and I am sure you will do a great job. When I started this forum early last year, I never dreamed it would become such a wonderful place to share, to hang out and to learn from so many of you. We are now over 7,500 members strong and getting ready to push 10,000 topics! this is truly amazing. As many of you know, being an admin over this many people can take some work, so I continue to appreciate not only our admin, but our moderators and hosts who help keep this a family friendly and FUN place to be! I am looking forward to 2012! Alan

Thanks for the warm welcome SquareFoot.
I look forward to working with you and all the other great folks we have here on the forum. It truly is a fun place to be, and heck, you can even learn a thing or two in the process.
