I figured this was the best place to post this topic. I tried going to the area called 'how to do things' but you have to have special access to make posts in that area of the site, so it wouldn't let me make a post there.

I know there is an area of this forum with where to make posts for vertical gardening. I know how to use the site and navigate it, I just can't find this area of the site. Can somebody please give me a link for the vertical gardening section of this site?

I tried looking thru the different sections of the forum, and didn't find any section titled 'vertical gardening'.

Also, this is off topic, but is there anyway to find a list of previous topics you've posted?
I tried clicking on my screenname to see, but didn't find such an option there.

I'm also looking for a section of the forum for off topic subjects that aren't related to SFG. Again, I can't find that section of the forum, and yes I've looked. So can somebody please provide a link for that area of the site as well.

1. Neither the forum nor the threads are locked in the 'How To' forum. You do have to be logged in to post.

2. There is no 'vertical gardening' forum. Posts for trellises would be found in the SFG Talk general discussion forum.

3. The easiest way to find the posts you've made is to click on the link called 'View Your Posts' which is found on the index page below and to the left of where it says Good Morning, FW

4. On the index page, look for the forum called 'Outside the Box' then find the sub-forum called 'Everything Else'.

The index page is this one:

I didn't know that was called the index page. It is also called the home page, accessable from the Home button in the green stripe at the top of each apge.

Learned something new. I rarely go to the home page as I have my computer set to go to my region.

Nice to know (or maybe not!):

Home page, front page, and start page are synonymous, and the terms are used interchangeably by users to indicate the first page of a web site, forum, or blog.

The term index refers to the same page, but it is actually the file name of that first page on the server directory. If you notice, home pages seldom have a file or folder name in them; the index file name is implied. The home page url appears to be https://squarefoot.forumotion.com

Technically, it is https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/index.html

It was originally a time and bandwidth saving short cut back when 9.6Kb/sec was fast.

(techies: yes, I omitted .php, .shtml, .htm, .etc for simplicity's sake)
