Sad This is my first square foot garden… So far I have harvested 9 beautiful tasty cukes(note to self… only 2 cuke plants next year) 1 jalalpeno, and 1 of the most beautiful zukes I have ever seen. I wrote in a couple of weeks ago with tomato and pepper problems, the new growth appeared to be spindly and tightly curled and the fruit sparse and slow to ripen. I did a soil test for nitrogen (it came up deficient, which I found hard to believe) so I fertilized with Espimosa veggie fertilizer. Through process of elimination and a lot of internet research, what I was calling "spindly and curled" might actually be called "shoestringing" of the leaves. That means cucumber mosaic virus on my tomatoes. The peppers seem to have outgrown their problem, and everything else is thriving… anything squash or melon related has outgrown it's trellis and actually escaped the garden. Since this virus is not soil born and isspread(supposedly) by aphids(I haven't seen any) and everything else seems to be doing so well, is it safe to let the tomatoes go till the end of the season and see what harvest I can get? I know I should destroy the plants then. Please help!

You might want to look into curly top it sounds like that may be what the trouble is.

I looked at pics of curly top… those plants are much bushier… this definitely looks more like CMV…
