New peppers turn yellow and fall off?
I swear, I never thought out of all the plants I"m growing that the peppers would end up being the most difficult! But my banana pepper is having issues again. I got lots of flowers, and a couple days ago some of the flowers blew off in a big rainstorm, leaving behind little baby peppers. However, yesterday I noticed that the stem and flower remnant on at least one of them was turning yellow, and today in another rainstorm the whole little stem just fell off. Is this likely a heat issue, or did the flower fall off too soon to protect the pepper? Any ideas?

Re: New peppers turn yellow and fall off?
If it is just the one blossom that did not make fruit and fell off, I would have to guess that one bloom was not pollinated. Are any of the other small peppers falling off?
Re: New peppers turn yellow and fall off?
Hmm, that seems like a possibility. Perhaps the flower fell off during the rainstorm before it had a chance to be pollinated. The others haven't fallen off yet, so hopefully that was the issue. Actually, the first bell pepper that came out looks like it's dying too, so maybe it just takes a few days for things to get rolling with the pollination, because the rest of the bell peppers (small as they are) seem okay.
