Hello All - For those of you that are within driving distance of Forest Park (45240) and are interested, I have a lot of extra Roma tomato plants and a few Butternut Squash plants I'd be happy to give to a good home! The Romas range from maybe 4 - 10 in. with most at this point at the lower end (I've already given a bunch away), and the squash are also probably 8 - 10 in. tall, I haven't measured them.

Anyway if anyone still has room and wants a late crop, hit me up!

I'll have to pretend when my dh is around that I have no idea where these extra plants came from, but I'll take one of each if you still have them! I had planted San Marzano's late, but they died as seedlings- one of the only 2 things that didn't make it, so I could use a paste tomato and my dh loves butternut squash...

Thanks for the offer! I wish I had the room, but I filled my last squares. I am still nurturing some transplants that I got from Glendale-Gardener (Thanks!). I lost the ground cherry, but the rest are hanging on despite our upper 90's weather and not enough rain!

Yup I've still got them! I'll PM you my address; just let me know when you'd like to stop by.

@Masongarden - I know, the weather has been driving me nuts as well...after waiting for like 5 days I finally said to myself on Saturday morning, "Ok, some of my plants aren't looking so great, I better go ahead and hose-water them." It started pouring just as I finished! God has a great sense of humor. O.o

Yeah, it rained for about 5 minutes it seemed like! It was a total downpour then it was like the faucet was just turned off!

Wow that's weird...yah it was a lighter sun-shower for a few minutes then it poured for at least another few minutes. Perfect for watering the garden if I hadn't already done it, lol.

A few updates -

- I hadn't really looked at the tomatoes closely in a while and I understated their size! Almost all of them are at least 6 in. tall, at least half are probably more.

- If anyone has shade and wants to give it a shot, I forgot that I have a handful each of broccoli and cauliflower plants sitting around. They've been in cups and haven't grown larger in quite some time, but they'd probably still be fine once they got in the ground.

- I have a couple "Micro-Tom" plants sitting around that I don't care to bother with. I thought the idea of a 6-8 inch determinate plant that grew a dozen little tomatoes awesome at first, but I found out later that the tomatoes are supposed to be pretty bland and the plants are mostly for decoration.

- Again, totally forgot that I have some Yukon Gold seed potatoes and some Beauregard sweet potato plants left...Since I paid a bit for these my wife suggested rather emphatically (lol) that I not give them away, so I guess what, $1/sweet potato and $1/2 gold if anyone were interested?

Again, if anyone wants any of this stuff just let me know! Take it easy.
