Pole beans and string don't mix.

Pole beans and string don't mix.
It seemed like a good idea to use string/twine in an over-under manner for my pole beans and it seemed to be working well until they started growing like mad. Instead of growing up their intended string, multiple plants are wrapped around multiple strings in a tangle. The other section is on a wire cattle panel trellis, so they will be OK. So if you are thinking about using twine, be forewarned.

Dixie, thanks for the update. I remember you doing that some time back.
I was thinking of trying that idea when my dog got caught up in the trellis netting I was unraveling, but managed to save the stuff and got it up just fine. Its nice to know that in future, the twining won't work for the ones still to be sowed later in the spring. I've just added more trellis netting to my garden list of things yet to buy.
Thanks for sharing that info. Its very helpful.
