You would think after all my years as a row gardener I would know better than to out think frost!
I forgot I had bell peppers in my garden already! What a duffus stunt! 889526 Poor little things. But they will make it! I have three, two got their top leaves frost bit. One is just fine. I don't usually plant them that early but I needed to get the spots filled to outsmart the cats! My daughter has three outside cats that I threaten with the shelter about every day. But if there is something planted they will not USUALLY mess with it. So I planted the peppers as fillers. Oh well...just 99¢ so I can replace easy. but I think they will be fine.

I just got frustrated at myself for forgetting them. I could have just put milk jugs on the poor little things. The frost didn't bother anything else so it must have been very light.

When we had a frost this winter all of the summer things just turned black overnight. They are tender little buggers! But they had also lasted a lot longer than I had any right to hope for so no worries. A late spring frost can break your heart though!
