This is my 1st video this year. I have asparagus (planted last year), sugar snap peas, lettuce, spinach, onions, and garlic coming up. I was worried because it was in the 60's & 70's last week, but yesterday it snowed and got to 25 degrees this morning. I hope we don't lose anything.

Welcome to the forum!!!!

I moved from your neck of the woods about 2 years ago to Idaho, but I lived 13 years in Prescott Valley and Chino Valley. My sister lives in Cottonwood and my dad and step mom live in Prescott Valley. I thought it was funny y'all got snow yesterday and I am in IDAHO and we were in the 50's. Talk about WEIRD!!

All of what you listed should be fine....they all can handle a little cold. I don't know about asparagus though. I have never grown it!

I am using old milk jugs and juice containers with the bottoms cut off to protect them a little, especially from the cold breeze. I also put christmas lights in the squares to protect the peas, spinach, and lettuce. It is supposed to get down to 25 tonight, but warm up to 70 later in the week.

Trust me they will be fine. Smile ESPECIALLY if you are protecting them like that.

We had lows to -17 degrees this winter and all my garlic and onions were in the ground. Not being used to winters here yet I didn't mulch either. And it appears that I have not lost a single one of the garlic or onion I planted. I planted 16 squares of each.

These are my indoor seeds that I have started. The tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, and tomatillos are coming up nicely. The herbs are starting to pop up.

I'm always happy to see someone else from Az! The weather was crazy yesterday. We drove from Glendale to Thatcher yesterday and stopped to play in the snow right before Globe! Hope all is well with your garden. Its sounds like you got them protected.

We lived in Williams for years and used to drive through your neck of the woods quite often.

This is our first year at gardening in Az. So far everything is going pretty good . That is except for the green beans. Check out the video at:

Hope you are enjoying all those peas! I can't wait until we plant our fall garden and can put peas back in. They are wonderful and my nephew loved them! I kept catching him out in the garden snacking on the peas. It was great
