Birds and Blooms Magazine Special Edition!
I found the greatest magazine yesterday! It is a Birds and Blooms magazine edition titled GROW IT COOK IT! I picked it up and flipped through it and it features like 50 veggies and tips on how to grow them and then recipes to use to eat it!!! I was so excited I threw it in my cart.
When I got it home and had a chance to look through it more I flipped a few pages and low and behold there was a 4 page spread on SFG!!!
It's a wonderful edition! If you see it snag one! Recipes, SFG AND gardening all in one place???? I think I am in heaven!

Pretty sure I saw the magazine at Lowes. Take a look on your next break.

I did find mine at Wal-mart, but strangely enough they don't actually carry Birds and Blooms that I could tell. I bet Home Depot or Lowes would have it, if not it is worth a drive to Barnes and Noble, Borders, or Hastings to get it...I am loving it!! So many yummy intriguing, new recipes I cannot wait!

I checked my local Lowes last night and they had the regular magazine, but not the special edition.

I found it at Loews in Fontan today. And they also had the the New SFG book for $17.99.

I looked in Home Depot today, no dice. Barnes & Noble had the regular issue but not the special one. They also had a stack of Mel's books set out prominently on a main aisle with some other gardening books!
Re: Birds and Blooms Magazine Special Edition!
Found it at Walmart, but up by the registers not in the magazine section.

No success finding it locally - not a surprise in the middle of nowhere - but leaving for vacation in the next few days and will be near BIG stores soon! I will do a diligent search and try not to throw a hissy fit if I can't find it!

Howdy All:
Found the book at B&N in Williamsburg, VA. Purchased at almost $11.00. Nice article except that I had the distinct impression that the authors of the article had not read the book. Several factual errors were in the article including the depth of soil, using a premixed growing medium and using pressure treated lumber to build the beds.
Layout and photos were outstanding.
God Bless, Ward and Mary.
