I have gotten a ton of these thanks to neighbors and a good friend. Still have to pick up my FIL's but it seems mother nature isn't cooperating. Neighbors joke with me but these are very important for the 3 composters I have. Anybody else in here hoard leaves when they fall?

I wanted to, and had the best intentions, but we had a ridiculously soggy fall, so I never got the chance...I have a half a bag that I managed to get when they were dry sitting in the garage, but the rest of them are composting right where they landed in the yard...and when it's below freezing, my motivation to go try to rake them up is....nil.

I do! This year I made 4 4' high x 4' diameter hoops to store leaves in around my place. I filled 3 with chopped leaves, the last one was only 1/2 full.
It looks something like this. I got this image off the web.

I am with you on that one, LaFee. I am still trying to psyche myself up to go pull the dead mums and violets. (Though I have seen violets perk up when I thought all was lost. My parsley is going to the ground fighting!!!) It has been extremely cold AND windy here. Have not looked up the windchill but I know it's something horrendous! BRRRR!!!

Late to the party, but I own a Lawn/Landscape company here in St. Louis, MO. And, I hoard the heck out of leaves in the fall. I just moved into a new house this summer and the previous owner was no green thumb to say the least. So, I got through an entire leaf season w/o using a single paper bag!

I threw three large trash cans on my trailer and brought them all home each day....mulched. I use my large walk-behind commercial mower to cut the grass a time or two until the leaves look like they've all been hit once. Then, I toss on the bagger and just pick'em'up. Dump the bag in the trash cans and take them home to spread around my shrubs, landscaping, and fill the compost pile. I gotta tell ya, this year was the fastest I ever got around thanks to no leaf disposal time. It was awesome, and I know my neighbors think I was crazy.......but wait until my tomatoes and lettuce bags hit their houses because I have so much I can't eat it all myself. They will soon understand why the neighborhood nutjob is a good friend to keep close during the growing season...lol.
