Where to buy Dipel? Empty Where to buy Dipel?

Post  Youngatheart on Wed 28 Jul 2010 - 9:41

I can't seem to find dipel locally, so I've been looking up some online sites...but the shipping is almost as much as the product! Where do you buy your dipel?

Also, do you prefer the dust or the kind you mix with water and spray?

Thanks,
Rhonda

I bought my dipel at the local feed store. They have stuff for farmers too.

I didn't get the Dipel brand, but purchased Green Light BT worm killer at True Value hardware store. I've also seen it at Home Depot or Walmart (can't remember which). I got the concentrate spray as I figured it would be easier to apply to the bottom of leaves where a lot of the caterpillars were hanging out.

Where to buy Dipel? Empty Dipel

I didn't even know what Dipel was before reading your post. When I did a Yahoo search for it, Planet Natural came up first (http://www.planetnatural.com/site/dipel-dust.html ) They also recommend trichogramma wasps for earlier use, before the caterpillars themselves are a problem.

Where to buy Dipel? Empty Re: Where to buy Dipel?

i found Dipel dust at my local nursery.

Since caterpillars (I had a major cabbage looper problem) like to hide under the leaves, I shake the bottle in a sweeping upward motion to try and coat the underside of the leaves. Don't just shake it over the top.

It works wonders. I hated to sprinkle it (any chemilcal for that matter) on my crops, but if it saves my garden then that's what I'll do. Just wash the food well.

good luck; hope you find it.
