I love a good happy dance! I am on my way to doing one a little later in the week well the beginning of next week when we get our boxes set up. Martha you are a little north of me, I am in Providence (and VERY new to SFG) so I am going to follow your lead and hope for the best! Have an awesome dance!

well, auntij, we are close enough neighbors, methinks! It will be fun having someone near-byish to chat with.
My peas have sprouted, broccoli and some of my tomatoes! Yippee!

Happy Dance
We haven't planted yet ...waiting for the robins to get here and let us know it's the right time, but the ice went off the pond yesterday, earliest ice-out in 60 years! It did snow again today though here in Maine. But it's time to start the seedlings inside at least - that's worth dancing about!

Re: Happy dance, happy dance!
in my first happy dance, I should have clarified that I was planting inside. I honestly would have planted outside, even that early, except for the constant rain.
But most of my things are doing great - I am having inconsistent success with starting tomato seeds.
But this week-end, I transplanted peas, and they seem to have handled it quite well. I planted outside more peas, beans, arugula (may be too early, but it grows so fast I might get a crop before a final cold snap that we will certainly have.) I also planted carrots, scallions, radishes and beets. And baby bok-choi. Need to plant swiss chard.
Happy, happy, happy!
What is interesting to me is the weeding. I used different things underneath my boxes last year. Some had plywood, some cardboard and some weedcloth. The cardboard held up great for last year, but lots and lots of grass is growing in those boxes. The plywood (with drainage holes) and the weed cloth ones have very few intruders.
So happy Easter, and I hope everyone is getting some outside time this week-end!
