Muskrat in my yard!
I went out this evening to water my garden and what should I see run past but a big ol' muskrat! I googled muskrats to see how they are around gardens and yikes! They love to eat gardens! One thing they especially love is pumpkins. I have 6 pumpkin plants growing! No pumpkins yet though. I have a fence around my garden, mostly just propped up because I can't get posts into the ground. So far the muskrat hasn't messed with the garden. I'll definitely be on the lookout though. May have to get some critter pest control from Walmart. If anyone has any sure way of protecting gardens from these varmits (without spending a lot of money) I'm all ears.
