Difference in SFG book

Post  bibelhauode on 6/6/2010, 6:18 pm

I think I may have a misprinted book. I have the First Printing Revised Edition 2006 of the All New Square Foot Gardening book. My friend has the same book with the exact same cover, but the appendixes are so totally different when it comes to the Basil & Beyond section. Mine only has 4 vegetables, but my friend's book has 23! Any one else out there have this problem?

Maybe that is the dollar store version...a somewhat less than complete copy printed by the publishers. Where did you buy it?

Difference in SFG book

I got it on Amazon.com from a reputable source. The original price of the book was $19.99.

It certainly sounds like the abridged version that is intended for the bargain-store market. I would get in touch with the seller and ask for them to provide you with the full version of the book or to refund your purchase price, as it is NOT what you ordered. Make sure you tell them that you compared your book with someone who has the full version.

Unfortunately, there isn't really any difference in the "look" of the book, but it is published by Cool Springs press.... There was a good deal of discussion on this "counterfeit" book (which was actually authorized) in THIS THREAD

The abridged book was not out in 2006, so it does sound like you may have a misprint, or your friend has a later edition with additional information added. The abridged book has a price of $14.95 on the cover, not $19.95. I have the abridged book, so I can't compare with yours. Maybe you could find a copy in the library and compare. If yours is a misprint, then you should be able to get your money back.
