Vibration Machine
Hubby is on total disability, with a laundry list of ailments, but the most serious is his lower back (military injury from 50 years ago) and a bad knee (replaced twice). He's in constant, serious pain, can no longer work out, and has no energy.
Our son found out we were going to Costco, where an 80-year-old man was demonstrating a passive exercise machine called Zazz. He wanted Bob to try it out, which he did, yesterday.
We had high hopes, but Bob said it hurt, so we gave it up as yet another failure, but last night he got to thinking about it, and realized the pain was not like from doing damage, but more like sore muscles after a workout. Also, he picked up the slack from my fall, suffered no ill effects from his busy day, and actually felt good for a change. Now we're thinking it was that 12 minute Zazz workout that did the trick, so I'm doing research.
FYI, the Costco product is $2300 -- just a teeny bit pricey for our circumstances. There are several knockoff products online, however, starting at $139. Anybody have any experience with any of them?

If you can wait a little bit, like most things these will really drop in price.

Re: Vibration Machine
Thanks, Bri. That's exactly what we'll do. I really want Hubby to have another experience with it, too. It's not a fun workout. If we're going to spend that kind of money, I want to be sure he'll use it.briadams wrote:If you can wait a little bit, like most things these will really drop in price.

Re: Vibration Machine
Thanks, Toododd. Hubby is with the VA. We'll have him talk to his doctor, physical therapist, or chiropractor before going ahead with this. I also want him to try it again before we buy.toododd wrote:Its a standing foot massager. If your husband has bone on bone joint issues or gout.. dont doit. Check out yoga it may help.
Re: Vibration Machine
The Zazz deal went nowhere, but we found this one on Amazon. It arrived last night. (The price went up since we bought ours, so we got a better deal. )

We put it together and tried it out. Seems pretty kewl. Then I found this video, which addresses every one of Bob's back issues. I'm hoping to get it on XBox, so he can watch it on TV while he works out. Fingers crossed this and the plant-based diet for his Type II diabetes will bring him back to me.
