PNW 2019 - Bunny Gardening
Hello!
What an odd year for weather we are having here in western WA. Much cooler than in recent years, and inconsistent. I have taken pics of my garden, but I don't remember how to post them here. If someone would tell me how, I'll get them on.

Beautiful pics and great creativity in your garden design. I love the stump bases for your containers.

Thanks Suz and Marie! I've learned a lot from this forum since I joined. This year's garden has already proven better than any before. I'm excited for what's coming the rest of the season.

Very nice, Bunny. Thank you for posting photos of your successful garden.
PS you can post more than 3 photos per post/reply by hitting the preview button after inserting 3 photos. It clears the "Host an Image" so you can add 3 more, then 3 more, etc.

You can also post more than three within the post by opening the Host an Image window, and clicking on "Remove All" and then "Submit Files". That will clear the previous 3 images and allow you to add 3 more images.

You know, I think it's because we all so much want each other to succeed... And we're willing to share those things that do or don't work as a result. There's SO MUCH great info here! Both ongoing & in the archives. And I think also because many of us become friends even if there's little chance that we'll actually meet face to face.
I love this forum.....

Thanks for the picture posting tips!
Yes, I think you're right, everyone I've met who has a passion for gardening seems to live to share their experiences, good and bad. So much to learn!!
My SIL has become a Master Gardener and just helped us with a design plan for landscaping our front yard. Designed for year round color and low maintenance. That will be our next big project.

PVC irrigation grid
Several years ago someone posted about their PVC irrigation grid they made originally using micro emitters, but then changed to 1/16th drilled holes in the pipes. I found the thread, but I'm still confused about the number of and position of the holes.
The threads I've read talk about 1 hole per grid for the emitters. They talk about 3-4 holes per length of pipe for the drilling method, 25 degrees off center. So does that mean the sections that border 2 squares have holes on both sides? I don't want the water to shoot up high, trying to water the plants at the base not the leaves.
I've assembled a 4x4 grid using 1/2in PVC, according to the specifications; just waiting for the drilling process. I'll be using the faucet. Oh and btw, our water pressure is very good.
Any thoughts???
Oh and I've only got one grid for now. Will add the others as I can.

Re: PNW 2019 - Bunny Gardening
Bunny, I've read of drilling 45* off center so the water goes out some distance before dropping. If you made the grid with 6 4' pieces of PVC instead of 10 4' pieces, this would be most important in the corner squares.
Re: PNW 2019 - Bunny Gardening
Sanderson, I made this grid:

The 45 degree holes make more sense to me, thanks! Do you think 3 holes per pipe? And holes on both sides?
Maybe 4 holes in the corner squares. Seems like a lot of water in all the centers though.
