this was different idea in identifying plant minimal  deficiency like in  your tomatoes.

I think it may be a little esoteric or beyond the necessary knowledge for most successful SFG gardeners. I didn't read it or watch it. Since Mel's Mix works, and we add more compost, understand microbes break it down to feed the plants, and enjoy worms in the beds, that is probably all that most want to delve in. ??

Yes, it for the nerdy.Very Happy
what caught my interest when said they found out when you see the leaves turning yellow at the bottom of the plant it already been malnourish for 3-4 weeks. The new soil testing called sap analysis gives this info In a few days. Someone working on a handheld one, something like the refractometer. 
I also like the part that they have pictures in the old agronomy books, before the synthetics came, of corn, tomatoes, etc... staying green the entire season.
