Hello, Nikko! What fabulous progress, even with 4 inches of snow back in April! Keep up the great work!

HI Nikko,
I live about half way between the Falls and Toronto. I have been a member for a long time, but obviously not a very active one. I'm back for more learning and have found some wonderful people here.
Your garden is gorgeous!

Re: Hi from Buffalo
thanks everyone!
the garden is a bit crazy right now. I was mending it a bit yesterday and told the family that we are harvesting all the peas and preparing them for the freezer tonight....no TV watching ! lol
which brings up a question....after we harvest the peas, should I pull out the plant? They are kind of overgrowing right now and if anything, I'm pulling out half of them because we are just about sick of eating them.

Re: Hi from Buffalo
Nikko, Can one ever freeze too many peas for fall and winter? I leave my ___ (fill in the blank) until it dies.

I cut my peas down to the ground and leave the roots in to add nitrogen (or something like that). You can also leave the tops on the ground as they will decompose, but may look a bit untidy.
