What is the light colored one in the midst of my beets? Thanks!

Re: Mystery plant - need ID please
What type doe you think it is? Is it pretty easy to have volunteer lettuce pop up? This was "enhanced" garden soil from a friend... Haven't made up any MM yet.

Re: Mystery plant - need ID please
Is it fuzzy at all or smooth? Smooth leaves suggests it is a green leaf lettuce. Slight fuzz to the leaf suggests a type of weed that is related to forget me nots.

Re: Mystery plant - need ID please
It was not fuzzy, but I pulled it out as I don't want lettuce. We prefer spinach, and since I don't have room for things I didn't choose to plant. Thanks though!

Belated comment (haven't been on the forum in a few days), if it were my garden, I'd guess calendula:

I don't know how to delete a post...
Thank you all for your input. I would delete this thread if there was an option to do so. Most forums have a way to delete your own post when no longer needed, but I can't find that option here.

Thanks Sanderson. I can't imagine it being very helpful Turan, since we never really established what it was...

I know I was a 100% right, but was it really that funny? I thought it would elicit a Groan!
