My SFG on TV - Featuring Compost Product
Please forgive the self-indulgence. I'm just so excited when my passion for gardening/composting and my profession (TV production) converge. My co-workers are very aware of my passion, and allowed me to be quite involved with the production of this spot, including: Shooting at our house/garden, be in the spot, and letting me edit it. The product is Ultra Compost, and in the near future you may see this on Time Warner or Comcast stations...
Besides me, you'll see glimpses of my dino kale, sorrel, Molten Fire Amaranth, mint, Creole onions (small), cabbage, marigolds, fennel, papaya (leaves blurred in background of first product shot), sage, peppers, and Greek basil.
The morning of the shoot my own compost was 155°F. Perhaps the microbes in my pile get the sense that something's up.

I just had to emphasize the "biochar" in the spot. Also, did anyone notice in the animation toward the end... the swirling of GREENS and BROWNS! Also, the DP (cameraman/director) and I both envisioned an animation, which wasn't called for in the script where it mentioned the "water, air and roots..." Anyway, I'm proud of that composite work.

Yes CapeCoddess. They've been pushing me out in front of the camera lately when my comfort zone is actually the edit suite. I'm the last stop in production, and final QC before I send the spots out to Time Warner, Comcast, etc. But we've been so busy lately that I've been trying to help out with getting caught up on the edits. Busy is GOOD!CapeCoddess wrote:That was cool! Was that you in the commercial? It looked like you.

Hi Sanderson - There's 29.97 frames to a second in our video, and it has to be to 60 seconds down to the frame. I've been with this company for 13 years and proud of our work. We have a phenomenal team!sanderson wrote:Everything fit in 1:00 minute - perfect.
