Oh, yeah... Saw this on FB the other day.

Looks nifty-neato, but kinda takes all the fun out of it too.... I mean, what would I obsess over if I didn't have the garden??!!

I get satisfaction of gardening myself but maybe good for others.

That's pretty cool, lm...altho I'd like to see it try to grow a pumpkin in MY yard! Rolling Eyes

Wonder how it gets rid of bugs, rabbits and other nibblers...?  Then there blight, wilt, PM, etc.

But, can it follow a grid? If it snatches and dispatches grasshoppers, it might be worth the extra pocket change.

Re: Automated gardening anyone?

I posted this on my FB page a few days ago.

Here on the Forum, we are all gardeners and find pleasure in it, but what about those who don't? What if you have mobility issues and this could help you provide food for your family? What if you are a caretaker for a family member and don't have time but still want to provide your loved one with nutritious food? What if you for some reason you can't garden but want the joy of watching food grow?

What I liked about this is that it's open source and you can make it yourself lowering the cost.

While it certainly isn't for me, I can definitely see there's a certain segment who would find this handy.

I don't need the weeder or seeder.  I didn't see a harvester.

I wonder how easy it would be to adapt the sensor and automated waterer.
